Kiss Me, Kate - May 2007
This is a musical comedy play within a play about an egotistical actor and producer named Fred Graham and his ex-wife Lili Vanessi who are playing characters Petruchio and Kate in the "Taming of the Shrew." In both their real world and in their play, they bicker and romance in a battle of the sexes.
Music and lyrics by Cole Porter. Book by Bella Spewack and Samuel Spewack. Based on "The Taming of the Shrew" by William Shakespeare.
