April 1990

The musical Camelot offers pageantry set amidst the splendour and magic of King Arthur's court with a powerful and tragic love story at its heart. Based on The Once and Future King, Camelot is glowing with melody, glittering with wit, and fabulously beautiful. You are be transported to an idyllic kingdom where King Arthur tries to create a perfect world for his beloved queen. When Guenevere falls in love with Lancelot, Arthur's trusted friend and Knight of the Round Table, the utopian kingdom cannot survive. Or can it?

The score combines lyrical simplicity with a lush romanticism, beautifully captured in such numbers as "If Ever I Would Leave You," "I Loved You Once in Silence," and the witty "I Wonder What the King is Doing Tonight."

Music by Frederick Loewe amd lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner.
